Fun Outside!

The weather outside has gotten warm again! I am so happy and Michael is loving spending more time outside. He loves the backyard. He kicks the ball around, plays with daddy's hose, discovers different kinds of rocks and plays on his slide and swing. He is turning into such a little boy these days. Our favorite thing is getting big Michael hugs :)

Michael's New Car!!

Michael got a new car to ride around the house in! He loves it! Jay and I brought him down after waking up and had it waiting in the den. It was like Christmas morning! He ran to it smiling and laughing and opened the door right up and climbed in. He had a hard time eating breakfast and then dinner tonight because he wanted to get back to playing with the car. Thank you sweet Jennifer for getting it for us at Duck Duck Goose!

Michael's Second Haircut!

Today Michael turned 16 months old! I can't believe how fast our baby is growing up. We celebrated by giving him his second haircut! His first one was at 6 months old and we realized that his hair was getting way too long in the back! He did great sitting in his chair playing with numerous gadgets to distract him and Jay did a great job cutting his hair! Isn't he so handsome? :) I sure do love my boys!

Looking back... first haircut at six months old

Around the House

I had so much fun getting Michael his big boy Elmo chair last week!! He loves it and is so cute sitting down in it and propping his arms up on the arm rest and leaning back. He is such a boy :) He loves to play and has fun playing peek a boo with anything around the house, including the stairs! It was so beautiful outside today so Jay and I took Michael out in the backyard and had so much fun throwing the beach ball around with him and swinging and going down the slide. The picture by the grill perfectly captures Michael's "I know I am not supposed to touch this, but it sure would be fun!" face.

Time in Birmingham

This past weekend I got to go to Birmingham and see my parents and some wonderful friends! I had a great time and was so thankful for the good time with Mom, Dad and my precious friends.

Crazy Night!

Last night Jay walked in from Paradox (our youth group) and asked me if I had heard a loud crash while he was gone. I was like, "well, no." He then calmly said, "well, come look at this." Into the garage we go and to my shock, an entire shelf with all of our full paint cans had collapsed and paint was everywhere! It was a deep puddle and had splattered onto our car! My sweet husband has the best attitude of anyone I know :) For the next hour and a half we worked together, laughing, to somehow get the paint up. With the garage door open for plenty of ventilation (as to not asphyxiate baby Dillon!) we used an old mop and dust pan to attempt to get the paint up. Our car also got a late night washing! Our neighbors probably thought we were crazy! The most amazing part to me though was that just this past week Jay decided to clean out that side of the garage so he could pull his car in. All of our baby stuff was on that side as well as his golf clubs and many other things that would have been devastating to be covered in paint! What a God thing :) So today the plans are to watch American Idol which we had been looking forward to but luckily got to DVR!

New toys for Baby Dillon!

Chris and Christa Early were so generous and let us have some of their baby equipment that we never got for Michael! We are so excited to have a travel swing, nature cradle swing and exercauser! I think Michael was even more excited than we were to try the new toys out! Haha, he is just a little bit big for them:)
