Mountain Ridge Church Hoedown

We had so much fun tonight at our church hoedown! Jennifer and I bought matching outfits for Michael and Jocelyn at Babies R Us! They were a cowboy and a cowgirl! It was SO cute! The kids loved watching all of the bigger kids play and even though Michael is still not feeling good, he smiled all night long :) My precious boy.

Is this not one of the cutest things you have ever seen? I can't wait for them to see these pictures when they get older!!

My little cowboy

Michael loves putting his arm on Jocelyn...I think maybe it is his way of letting her know he will look out for her because she is youger :)

I LOVE this girl! What a blessing Jennifer is in my life.

Sweet Nicole :) Michael was so excited to jump into her arms!

October 13, My 26th Birthday!

I had a wonderful 26th birthday! Jay and I took Michael to The Cove and had a fun picnic together :) We got really good hamburgers and Jay even brought a candle! A wonderful gift that Jay gave me later in the afternoon was a few hours to take a nap! That night we were blessed by a sweet friend from church (thank you Elizabeth!) who watched Michael while we went to the mall and strolled (just the two of felt so strange!) and then went and ate at PF Changs, my favorite. It was a great day!

Jay decorated the house for me! I love that kind of stuff!!

Happy boy!

He loved crawling around in the grass and picking up leaves

And sticks!

Crawling with Daddy

This was just too cute not to post... Michael's pouty face when we had to take his stick away. He kept trying to eat it and bark was getting all in his mouth!

Opening cards and yay... Jay got me a GPS system for my car!! It was a perfect gift that I had been wanting. I am horrible with directions!

Michael has learned to clap and open the kitchen cabinets!! The clapping is so cute! Jay and I will sit and clap with him and he gets so excited. The cabinet thing is cute at times except for when he pulls out all of our clean pots and pans and starts chewing on them... haha! But I love how he is discovering new things every day. He still has that ear infection from two weeks ago, bless his heart. He is on another 10 days of antibiotic and will hopefully be feeling better soon. He gets in the cutest sensitive mood when he is sick and doesn't want us to leave his side for long. He is a pretty independent little guy so I am loving him letting me rock him to sleep and having him crawl up into my arms to snuggle and give me hugs :) Being a mom is the greatest!

Looking back...

The past ten months Michael has changed in so many ways. It has been the greatest miracle and blessing to watch him learn and discover new things. He is the most amazing little baby boy and we love him with all of our hearts. Tonight while I was rocking him to sleep, I was praising God for his life and thinking back from the last 10 months all of our special memories so I thought I would post some of my favorite pictures from each month :)

The Zoo!

Michael had his 2nd trip to the zoo on Thursday! We went for a playdate with some girls from my Moms N More group that I go to. We had a lot of fun! Michael was really starting to get interested in the animals for the first time :) Here are some cute pictures.

All of the babies! We would pass by people and they would say, "look, its a baby parade!" It was funny :)

Michael has a new friend and he is trying to teach him peek a boo!

Michael's Dedication

On Sunday, October 7, 2007, Michael's 10 month birthday, he was dedicated to the Lord at our church along with his sweet friend, Jocelyn Fulmer. It was such a special morning. Pastor Cory prayed over both Michael and our family and dedicated his life to the Lord. The whole church stood and prayed over him that he would grow to love the Lord at a young age and for his health and other things. It was also so special to share it with the Fulmers. My parents and sister were incredible and drove from Birmingham to be here for less than 20 hours to be a part of this meaningful day. Here are some pictures :)
